9:1 神はノアと彼の息子たちを祝福して言われた。「産めよ、増えよ、地に満ちよ。

9:2 地のすべての獣と空のすべての鳥は、地を這うすべてのものと海のすべての魚と共に、あなたたちの前に恐れおののき、あなたたちの手にゆだねられる。

9:3 動いている命あるものは、すべてあなたたちの食糧とするがよい。わたしはこれらすべてのものを、青草と同じようにあなたたちに与える。

9:4 ただし、肉は命である血を含んだまま食べてはならない。

9:5 また、あなたたちの命である血が流された場合、わたしは賠償を要求する。いかなる獣からも要求する。人間どうしの血については、人間から人間の命を賠償として要求する。

9:6 人の血を流す者は／人によって自分の血を流される。人は神にかたどって造られたからだ。

9:7 あなたたちは産めよ、増えよ／地に群がり、地に増えよ。」

9:8 神はノアと彼の息子たちに言われた。

9:9 「わたしは、あなたたちと、そして後に続く子孫と、契約を立てる。

9:10 あなたたちと共にいるすべての生き物、またあなたたちと共にいる鳥や家畜や地のすべての獣など、箱舟から出たすべてのもののみならず、地のすべての獣と契約を立てる。

9:11 わたしがあなたたちと契約を立てたならば、二度と洪水によって肉なるものがことごとく滅ぼされることはなく、洪水が起こって地を滅ぼすことも決してない。」

9:12 更に神は言われた。「あなたたちならびにあなたたちと共にいるすべての生き物と、代々とこしえにわたしが立てる契約のしるしはこれである。

9:13 すなわち、わたしは雲の中にわたしの虹を置く。これはわたしと大地の間に立てた契約のしるしとなる。

9:14 わたしが地の上に雲を湧き起こらせ、雲の中に虹が現れると、

9:15 わたしは、わたしとあなたたちならびにすべての生き物、すべて肉なるものとの間に立てた契約に心を留める。水が洪水となって、肉なるものをすべて滅ぼすことは決してない。

9:16 雲の中に虹が現れると、わたしはそれを見て、神と地上のすべての生き物、すべて肉なるものとの間に立てた永遠の契約に心を留める。」

9:17 神はノアに言われた。「これが、わたしと地上のすべて肉なるものとの間に立てた契約のしるしである。」

◆ノアと息子たち

9:18 箱舟から出たノアの息子は、セム、ハム、ヤフェトであった。ハムはカナンの父である。

9:19 この三人がノアの息子で、全世界の人々は彼らから出て広がったのである。

9:20 さて、ノアは農夫となり、ぶどう畑を作った。

9:21 あるとき、ノアはぶどう酒を飲んで酔い、天幕の中で裸になっていた。

9:22 カナンの父ハムは、自分の父の裸を見て、外にいた二人の兄弟に告げた。

9:23 セムとヤフェトは着物を取って自分たちの肩に掛け、後ろ向きに歩いて行き、父の裸を覆った。二人は顔を背けたままで、父の裸を見なかった。

9:24 ノアは酔いからさめると、末の息子がしたことを知り、

9:25 こう言った。「カナンは呪われよ／奴隷の奴隷となり、兄たちに仕えよ。」

9:26 また言った。「セムの神、主をたたえよ。カナンはセムの奴隷となれ。

9:27 神がヤフェトの土地を広げ（ヤフェト）／セムの天幕に住まわせ／カナンはその奴隷となれ。」

9:28 ノアは、洪水の後三百五十年生きた。

9:29 ノアは九百五十歳になって、死んだ。

新共同 創  10:1-32

10:1 ノアの息子、セム、ハム、ヤフェトの系図は次のとおりである。洪水の後、彼らに息子が生まれた。

10:2 ヤフェトの子孫はゴメル、マゴグ、メディア、ヤワン、トバル、メシェク、ティラスであった。

10:3 ゴメルの子孫は、アシュケナズ、リファト、トガルマであった。

10:4 ヤワンの子孫は、エリシャ、タルシシュ、キティム、ロダニムであった。

10:5 海沿いの国々は、彼らから出て、それぞれの地に、その言語、氏族、民族に従って住むようになった。

10:6 ハムの子孫は、クシュ、エジプト、プト、カナンであった。

10:7 クシュの子孫はセバ、ハビラ、サブタ、ラマ、サブテカであり、ラマの子孫はシェバとデダンであった。

10:8 クシュにはまた、ニムロドが生まれた。ニムロドは地上で最初の勇士となった。

10:9 彼は、主の御前に勇敢な狩人であり、「主の御前に勇敢な狩人ニムロドのようだ」という言い方がある。

10:10 彼の王国の主な町は、バベル、ウルク、アッカドであり、それらはすべてシンアルの地にあった。

10:11 彼はその地方からアッシリアに進み、ニネベ、レホボト・イル、カラ、

10:12 レセンを建てた。レセンはニネベとカラとの間にある、非常に大きな町であった。

10:15 カナンには長男シドンとヘト、

10:16 また、エブス人、アモリ人、ギルガシ人、

10:17 ヒビ人、アルキ人、シニ人、

10:18 アルワド人、ツェマリ人、ハマト人が生まれた。その後、カナン人の諸氏族が広がった。

10:19 カナン人の領土は、シドンから南下してゲラルを経てガザまでを含み、更に、ソドム、ゴモラ、アドマ、ツェボイムを経てラシャまでを含んだ。

10:20 これらが、氏族、言語、地域、民族ごとにまとめたハムの子孫である。

10:21 セムにもまた子供が生まれた。彼はエベルのすべての子孫の先祖であり、ヤフェトの兄であった。

10:22 セムの子孫はエラム、アシュル、アルパクシャド、ルド、アラムであった。

10:23 アラムの子孫は、ウツ、フル、ゲテル、マシュであった。

10:24 アルパクシャドにはシェラが生まれ、シェラにはエベルが生まれた。

10:25 エベルには二人の息子が生まれた。ひとりの名は、その時代に土地が分けられた（パラグ）ので、ペレグといい、その兄弟はヨクタンといった。

10:26 ヨクタンには、アルモダド、シェレフ、ハツァルマベト、イエラ、

10:27 ハドラム、ウザル、ディクラ、

10:28 オバル、アビマエル、シェバ、

10:29 オフィル、ハビラ、ヨバブが生まれた。これらは皆、ヨクタンの息子であった。

10:30 彼らはメシャからセファルに至る東の高原地帯に住んでいた。

10:31 これらが、氏族、言語、地域、民族ごとにまとめたセムの子孫である。

10:32 ノアの子孫である諸氏族を、民族ごとの系図にまとめると以上のようになる。地上の諸民族は洪水の後、彼らから分かれ出た。

ＴＥＶ 創  9:1-29

9:1 God blessed Noah and his sons and said, "Have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth.

9:2 All the animals, birds, and fish will live in fear of you. They are all placed under your power.

9:3 Now you can eat them, as well as green plants; I give them all to you for food.

9:4 The one thing you must not eat is meat with blood still in it; I forbid this because the life is in the blood.

9:5 If anyone takes human life, he will be punished. I will punish with death any animal that takes a human life.

9:6 Human beings were made like God, so whoever murders one of them will be killed by someone else.

9:7 "You must have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth."

9:8 God said to Noah and his sons,

9:9 "I am now making my covenant with you and with your descendants,

9:10 and with all living beings-all birds and all animals-everything that came out of the boat with you.

9:11 With these words I make my covenant with you: I promise that never again will all living beings be destroyed by a flood; never again will a flood destroy the earth.

9:12 As a sign of this everlasting covenant which I am making with you and with all living beings,

9:13 I am putting my bow in the clouds. It will be the sign of my covenant with the world.

9:14 Whenever I cover the sky with clouds and the rainbow appears,

9:15 I will remember my promise to you and to all the animals that a flood will never again destroy all living beings.

9:16 When the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between me and all living beings on earth.

9:17 That is the sign of the promise which I am making to all living beings."

9:18 The sons of Noah who went out of the boat were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.)

9:19 These three sons of Noah were the ancestors of all the people on earth.

9:20 Noah, who was a farmer, was the first man to plant a vineyard.

9:21 After he drank some of the wine, he became drunk, took off his clothes, and lay naked in his tent.

9:22 When Ham, the father of Canaan, saw that his father was naked, he went out and told his two brothers.

9:23 Then Shem and Japheth took a robe and held it behind them on their shoulders. They walked backward into the tent and covered their father, keeping their faces turned away so as not to see him naked.

9:24 When Noah sobered up and learned what his youngest son had done to him,

9:25 he said, /"A curse on Canaan! /He will be a slave to his brothers.

9:26 Give praise to the Lord, the God of Shem! /Canaan will be the slave of Shem.

9:27 May God cause Japheth to increase! /May his descendants live with the people of Shem! /Canaan will be the slave of Japheth."

9:28 After the flood Noah lived 350 years

9:29 and died at the age of 950.

10:1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. These three had sons after the flood.

10:2 The sons of Japheth-Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras-were the ancestors of the peoples who bear their names.

10:3 The descendants of Gomer were the people of Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

10:4 The descendants of Javan were the people of Elishah, Spain, Cyprus, and Rhodes;

10:5 they were the ancestors of the people who live along the coast and on the islands. These are the descendants of Japheth, living in their different tribes and countries, each group speaking its own language.

10:6 The sons of Ham-Cush, Egypt, Libya, and Canaan-were the ancestors of the peoples who bear their names.

10:7 The descendants of Cush were the people of Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The descendants of Raamah were the people of Sheba and Dedan.

10:8 Cush had a son named Nimrod, who became the world's first great conqueror.

10:9 By the Lord's help he was a great hunter, and that is why people say, "May the Lord make you as great a hunter as Nimrod!"

10:10 At first his kingdom included Babylon, Erech, and Accad, all three of them in Babylonia.

10:11 From that land he went to Assyria and built the cities of Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah,

10:12 and Resen, which is between Nineveh and the great city of Calah.

10:13 The descendants of Egypt were the people of Lydia, Anam, Lehab, Naphtuh,

10:14 Pathrus, Casluh, and of Crete, from whom the Philistines are descended.

10:15 Canaan's sons-Sidon, the oldest, and Heth-were the ancestors of the peoples who bear their names.

10:16 Canaan was also the ancestor of the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,

10:17 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,

10:18 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. The different tribes of the Canaanites spread out,

10:19 until the Canaanite borders reached from Sidon southward to Gerar near Gaza, and eastward to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim near Lasha.

10:20 These are the descendants of Ham, living in their different tribes and countries, each group speaking its own language.

10:21 Shem, the older brother of Japheth, was the ancestor of all the Hebrews.

10:22 Shem's sons-Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram-were the ancestors of the peoples who bear their names.

10:23 The descendants of Aram were the people of Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshek.

10:24 Arpachshad was the father of Shelah, who was the father of Eber.

10:25 Eber had two sons: one was named Peleg, because during his time the people of the world were divided; and the other was named Joktan.

10:26 The descendants of Joktan were the people of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

10:27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

10:28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,

10:29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All of them were descended from Joktan.

10:30 The land in which they lived extended from Mesha to Sephar in the eastern hill country.

10:31 These are the descendants of Shem, living in their different tribes and countries, each group speaking its own language.

10:32 All these peoples are the descendants of Noah, nation by nation, according to their different lines of descent. After the flood all the nations of the earth were descended from the sons of Noah.
